The only way I could get this shot was from a boat on the river in downtown Chicago's "urban canyonlands". The illusion of an extreme perspective is mostly due to the accute angles of this skyscraper. Glass buildings also present recurrent problems: unwanted reflections. In this case, the adjacent crane was a welcomed reflection. No editing here, save a slight crop and vertical adjustment. The midday sunlight, window tint and shadows set the cool blue hue. The orangely warm crane just happened to fall on the opposite end of the color spectrum.
A really dramatic powerful shot, Dean. That crane really offers added interest.
