Ozzy Ozbourne's Mansion Gate, Beverly Hills, CA - Thank his wife, Sharon Osbourne, for this touch of English Garden in Italianate Form. Surprising, no. Beautiful, absolutely.
Wow! This is a wonderful site - such a mixture of architectural styles!

@martie: Martie - Great comment, thank you so much. Japan beats alot of places as far as architecture goes. I'll eventually get some of my Japan shots up. Hakone, Nikko, Kamakura, Take-Yama, Chiba Peninsula, etc.
Beautiful colors in this one...and an interesting architectural treatment to have the flowers growing out of the steps. Vintage Ozzy, no doubt. Thainks for sharing.

@Michael Skorulski: The inside is pretty nice, though not nearly as big as you would imagine. Rock on and thanks for the comment.
What a gorgeous entrance DeanF :) ps Ian B. gave me a beautiful suggestion when I first started with AM3 about straightening the horizon (can do with photoshop or Picasa (which is free) makes a huge difference in a photo...unless of course your photo needs to be askew to have the meaning you want it to...;)

@Lorraine: Thanks for the comment & helpful suggestion. As you mentioned, I probably should have straightened the horizon. Most of what I post here is for fun, experimentation. It's nice to have a community where your work can be displayed with a little more (or less) editing. I like the highly edited photos, but I also like the point and shoot, which you use. I leave the exif data up so people who are really curious can check out my profile. The shots I have posted thus far are from my whopping 3.3 megapixel Mavica. They represent what I like to shoot in my spare time. Most of what I shoot can't be posted in this blog, or shouldn't (Nikon). For my polished work I use my Sony alpha, but I have yet to post any of those. Keep your eyes peeled, as I will likely post an alpha capture as a treat for those who care. Keep up the good work and destroy all of my photos, I like that. Your input gives me a feel for what this community is capable of. Don't be surprised to find you work improve as well. P.S.: I wasn't going for an effect with the angle, so you were absolutely right in pointing out that I should have straigtened it. I got lazy and threw it in as is. Thanks again!
nice! i love the contrast...the gate really stands out.

i love the combination of building and plants. the gates are imposing and say keep out but the flowers soften it and say welcome. the colors are great. really nice shot

The colors of the flowers shows nicely against the gate. Nice capture.
